Tree of Life Herbals, the umbrella company, needed to launch a new product line in hair rejuvenation: Nutrafol. With a brand new high-end product and position, they needed to attract consumers through the use of evocative images and seamlessly integrated interface which would draw attention online.
As one of the company’s owners had personally experienced hair loss, they considered the use of emotional narration to entice consumers, to be paramount and compelling. Their personal story enriched the brand’s offering and ensured only the best ingredients were used to produce this groundbreaking formula.
Our team used blue and pink to seamlessly align with Nutrafol’s vision and philosophy and represent vibrancy and youthfulness. In the same breath, we also wanted to convey confidence, assurance of Nutrafol’s formula. We presented a Sans Serif typeface contemporary and relevant look, playing with the traditional architecture of the letter A with a pop of Pantone colour to grab the consumer’s attention.
The packaging used a soft grey background, with the letter A as the focal point of the packaging. The distinction between gendered products was made using pink for women’s products and blue for men’s products. With a pop of colour on the linework that created a triangular formation, the packaging exuded simplicity, illustrating continuity from the logo to the box and label on the bottle.
Our team succeeded in creating an all-inclusive and closely-knit experience tying branding, website, and packaging all together in a holistic package. Using a range of poignant images on Nutrafol’s landing page that elicited an emotional response from the viewer, we integrated strong photography, symbolic imagery, and a minimal layout to develop a website that reflected the sophistication of Nutrafol’s product brand philosophy.
The product launch resulted in winning the trust of the audience, enhanced the brand presence, generated 72% more traffic, and established a firm marketplace for the product.
